There are alpha releases for 2.0 and if you're willing to possibly deal with more breaking API changes then it should be fine to use in an application. It's otherwise stable (in terms of bugs).

I don't think anyone's planning to add a linux64 sample, but if you'd like to contribute one I think it can live in the `sample/` directory of repo. If it roughly matches the functionality of the other samples (querying tables and displaying the entries) then that would be more than fine
