Any idea, when the kotlin plugin for 1.8.0 lands?

I thought, this was only for 1.8.0-RC2; also in IntellijJ the plugin I have is 223-1.7.21-release-272-IJ8214.52, so I thought 1.8.0 wasn't released yet

Is 223 the Intellij-version? If so, I could rephrase the question as,  when does the kotlin plugin for this version lands? :slightly_smiling_face: (also, why is it not in the market place you linked?)

the IDE plugin doesn't need to be the exact same version as the compiler, and 222-1.8.0-release-* seems to match the latest _release_ branch  at <https://github.com/JetBrains/intellij-community/commits/kt-222-1.8.0>

oh (since you mention 223) perhaps you are in the somewhat annoying state where your IntelliJ has a bundled version that's higher

I'm not sure how to interpret what it says on that page, but I guess they're saying that the latest version of IntelliJ doesn't need the 1.8.0 plugin because it already works well with the 1.7.21 plugin.
