Hey, I’m a backend engineer at UP42, and we are hiring medium/senior level backend engineers, to work with Kotlin

Role: (Senior) Backend Engineer
Location: Berlin, Germany
Relocation Assistance: Yes I was relocated and they helped with my visa
Remote OK: YMMV but there’s been cases of people hired remotely in EU, for those in Berlin the work is very flexible hybrid (office and home office)

Requirements:
• Several years of experience in software design and development, preferably in a web-service environment; excellent knowledge in designing and building public API solutions
• Delivery of platform architecture (microservices / software, architecture and API design)
• Proven track record delivering high availability architectures including load balancing, fault-tolerance, and cloud computing (infrastructure as code, configuration management systems)
• Experience designing, deploying and maintaining cloud-based environments (Google Cloud Platform)
• Experience working in an agile environment
• Knowledge of Spring ecosystem (strongly preferred)
• Experience with Kubernetes is a plus
• Fluency in English is a must

UP42 is experiencing a rapid growth, and we are currently looking to expand our product teams with more engineers. While we do have priorities in terms of what specific team to assign new members to, during job interviews we will still take into account your skills and inclinations, and make a decision based on that.
