#compose is a fine channel to ask questions like this, as it’s intended to be the place to ask general Compose questions. It does tend to be heavily populated with Android Compose questions, but it’s not limited to that.
#compose-desktop is also a good one for Compose MPP questions, because it’s decidedly not Compose Android.
There are several threads on this topic already in those channels if you search for “Image loading”
