Hi! I did some debugging and investigation to a bug in compose: https://issuetracker.google.com/u/1/issues/184670295#comment45. I added my findings in a comment to the thread with previous discussion of the same bug, but Google has ignored comments about the bug since 25th of October. The original issue is marked as fixed, so would it be better if I created a completely new issue for it, or do you think the comment is sufficient to get attention?

I think you should create a new issue since the original issue was "Moving Focus" feature. So it doesn't surprise me that the ticket got closed. You obviously can report bugs in feature ticket comments, but it's probably not the best way to elevate it as a serious bug

Always, always file a new bug rather than commenting on a bug that is already marked as fixed

Ok, that's good to know! I assumed otherwise due to the other comments already present. I will create a new bug 🏃
