Just curious, how Ktor was named, what is the name origin?

The name is a reference to "ctor", a common shortening of "constructor".
I tried to link you to the FAQ where I'm sure I read this years ago but it seems it was removed.

I’ve always assumed it was short for Kotlin Torrent, but I guess you learn something new every day.

Wow, I like it even more if it was named by @hhariri.

I thought it was “cater” since it is a synonym for “serve”. I like it better than the actual origin, so I am going to continue thinking it is “cater” 🙂

Just a speculation - “constructor” in a Russian language has a primary meaning as “building blocks”, so given KTor plugability this is probably what they meant.

I like it better than the actual origin, so I am going to continue

😄 no, no, not “your reality” vs “my reality”. It is reality vs my fantasy 😄
