when i got my mba, i got some real insight into how managers think.  i think the sweet spot for kotlin will be that it won’t be a manager’s decision to adopt the technology the way it might have been with Scala

That is, if the manager has to staff a project with rare Scala developers to bring all the benefits of the language, that might be a showstopper.  If Kotlin’s interop is really good, then a technical lead with some clout can bring it in as though it were a shared library
