I personally don’t feel strongly about this, nor does my opinion matter. But given the huge amount of confusion and controversy this channel always stirs up, especially in relation to what seems to be an infinitesimally small amount of actual value, I’m leaning towards agreeing that this channel should probably just be closed at this point.

It had its purpose when early Kotlin Android days. But now it is a mature language with probably more support and external documentation than Java.
You rarely see a question here escaping the non-kotlin tag.
A specific kotlin problem related to Android only, I think could be asked in the compiler channel or compose android channel.
I side with this opinion

I feel strongly about this because this channel is called Android and there are quite a few engineers from the Android team at Google which is in-disposable during development.

If the majority of the questions being asked aren’t Kotlin related, seems like like the channel name should be changed; because it has nothing to do with Android.

Seems hair-splitty because it’s not the end of the world to receive Android questions related questions; especially when a majority of members here write/oversee Android code. I understand if someone asked Android related question in a non-Kotlin codebase but that just isn’t the case.
