let's say I want to ping an owner of a given Kotlin subsystem (e.g. in this thread I'd ask the owners of scripting if it's a good idea according to them to proceed with this change, and if I should create a PR). Is there a standardized approach to this? I roughly know that @ilya.chernikov does a lot there, but sometimes it makes more sense to ping e.g. a product owner?
I'm wondering if some Slack channels could have in their description whom to ping in such cases, or perhaps have user groups with a convention like @<slack-channel-name>-owners? Just thinking aloud, please let me know if you get the general gist and the problem in the first place

If you want a guaranteed answer about some bug/feature proposal then the best channel is YouTrack
Direct pings in slack is not the best idea IMO
