Hi, now that I know that AGP support is currently max 8.2.0, I have a question. What is the plan to support versions of AGP as the new versions get released? Like the support will be provided a week after release? Month? I'm not talking about the current state of Fleet, as I know it is a public preview and it will probably be improved later on. It is currently the biggest bottleneck for me, and if the support for the new versions will be quite slow, then probably Fleet will be unusable for me in most cases.

To knock on this further - it’s hard to feel like this is a serious product for KMP if android is essentially rendered unsupported by this version cap

This is a problem that goes beyond Fleet, it's a matter of merging all the things that are new in Android Studio back into the Android plugin for IntelliJ IDEA, which is a huge and complicated process. Once it's merged into IDEA, Fleet gets that same support as well. We are very aware of this version lag being annoying, and we're actively looking at ways of making these merges faster. The work is currently ongoing to merge Koala, and the results of that should be available around the end of the month. Can't promise anything specific for the timeline of merges in future releases, but it's supposed to get better over time.
