Hey all, it is my pleasure to pass on this really beautiful localization project one of the Kobweb users shared on our Discord.

The user mentioned they originally wrote it for their bachelor's thesis project, and that it will get used in production later.

Features drag/drop, widgets with loading decorations, popups, and just a generally overall intuitive user experience.

It's a full stack project but they used a custom Ktor backend, which is totally a fine use-case, especially for folks who are already very familiar with ktor. (You lose some Kobweb features, like API streams and API routes, but it can be a worthwhile tradeoff for the full control you get with writing your own backend)

Note that a project like this might also seem like a really good fit for Compose Web (i.e. wasm) but I believe you'd run into font issues: https://bitspittle.dev/blog/2024/c4w#international-languages
