I’ve created a new Kotlin Multiplatform library called PlatformTools.
PlatformTools simplifies platform-specific tasks like operating system detection, application management, and release fetching. It's designed to help developers manage cross-platform challenges with ease.
To demonstrate its capabilities, I also built a simple example showing how to use PlatformTools for updating Compose Desktop apps seamlessly. Check it out here: App with Auto Updater.

The library itself is not an alternative to conveyor, but it can be used to update your application easily, it does not reinvent the wheel, just demonstrates how to best use the tools that currently exist
