I do not expect this to be implemented. As far as I know, the (lack of) continuation indent does not conflict with default IntelliJ IDEA formatting. I am not aware of how Android Studio is handling this. Also, the indentation rule is the most complex and hardest rule in KtLint to change.
As this is an open source project, please feel free to contribute a PR which “properly” implements this feature and I will have a look at it.
