Just a tiny suggestion from skimming through the abstract: It might be useful to integrate the Web UI into an IDEA plugin, especially w.r.t. references to source code.

11/14/2025, 3:32 AMYeah there's a FIR plugin, but I haven't used it in so long I have no idea if it still works. Would be nice to have it as a mode other than its tree view.

11/14/2025, 3:33 AMBeyond that, I would say ditch Graphviz. It's really, really bad at layout. I use D2 for almost everything now, but you could also look at https://spidermonkey.dev/blog/2025/10/28/iongraph-web.html which is a similar tool for Firefox's JS IR engine.
