The IntelliJ feature where compiler generated code is shown inline is quite new, right? @Zac Sweers showed it in his stream with Code with Italians. I currently try to figure out in which IntelliJ Version it was added and when it will probably land in Android Studio.

Thx!
@hfhbd Do you know if I have to enable something after a clean installation to make these show up? Steps I have done: • Install 2025.3 EAP • Open project with metro • Set kotlin.k2.only.bundled.compiler.plugins.enabled to false • Restart IntilliJ The hints do not show up atm. I also get some IDE errors which might be related.
Ah, yeah, they are for sure related. The stack trace mentions metro and generate function. 🙂 I guess I will just wait.
Got it working in a fresh project…
Now it also works in our project, I just had an branch open with an old metro version. Still some ide errors tho.

If you can share a stacktrace I can take a look
