Hello all, Hope everyone is well?
Has anyone seem an issue with Amper 0.8.1 with a basic barebones android app where trying to run the module outputs this:
00:02.256 INFO sharedinstallCmdlineToolsAndroid Downloading https://dl.google.com/android/repository/commandlinetools-mac-13114758_latest.zip to….
And then fails with:
“Internal error: org.jetbrains.amper.engine.TaskExecutor$TaskExecutionFailed: Task ‘sharedinstallCmdlineToolsAndroid’ failed: java.lang.Exception: 5 attempts failed, see suppressed exceptions for details”
I dont see any exceptions in the amper logs other than the Internal error one?

Hi! Thanks for the report. Could you please share your project so we can try to reproduce? Or does it happen with the android app template too on your machine? In AFK right now so I can't experiment.

Also, could you please try ./amper update --dev and see if it reproduces? Recently, Google stopped returning the Content-Length header in their tools download response, and I made our downloader more lenient to accept this. I would bet this is the issue you're facing

Hi thanks for the reply, yes i actually get the exact same issue on trying to run this project https://github.com/JetBrains/amper/tree/release/0.8/examples/compose-multiplatform.

Also i tried with amper update --dev and yes it works perfectly. Many thanks

Glad that fixed it for you! We'll soon release version 0.9.0, so you'll have this fix in a stable version.

I released Amper 0.8.2 with this hot fix, so you can go back to a stable version if you need to
