Also; what are the stability risks of unnamed local variables? I would expect that it doesn't bleed into the public ABI at all? Is it just that "if, in the future, the syntax changes, your code will stop to compile"? If so, I'm fine with it

Yep, the only risk is syntax changing (and I doubt it will change).
