I'm trying to get xcode cloud to build an iOS app and some kotlin multiplatform code but I'm running into a problem. I'm using the latest version of androidx paging that is missing support for iosX64 and is breaking xcode cloud as it looks like it wants to build for x64 before running the tests on the simulator. I tried excluding x86_64 on the ios project settings but doesn't look like it's helping 😞 I'd really appreciate any suggestion!

You shouldn't be building for Apple x64 because it's deprecated from JetBrains and removed from paging support
a
Yeah I know but xcode cloud seems like no matter what I've tried it'll try to build for x64 so I get import errors, locally it works fine. I tried excluding the x86_64 arch from the target build settings but ignores it. I think they are using x86 cpus when they run the tests in xcode cloud.

Jep, Xcode cloud uses x86 Intel chips

so I don't really have an option right? Feels like they shouldn't have removed support for x64 yet until apple properly pulls the plug 😞 I'll probably just try to extract usage of paging and provide some fakes for iosX64 as for now it wouldn't be used in my project. Unless anyone else has any other suggestion

It's deprecated, not removed.
And Apple said, macOS 27 won't support Intel chips anymore, so Xcode cloud „needs“ to update to Apple Silicon (in theory).
Also, iosX64 will stay as Kotlin tier 3 target, for now.

sorry I didn't mean removed from kotlin itself. I meant from libraries like compose, paging etc.

Ah sorry, yeah in that case you should create an issue to bring back iosX64 target

I don't think androidx would be adding the x64 support back
