Java's
'\0'
is a compile error in Kotlin. Is
'\u0000'
the equivalent?

Seems like it should be. https://stackoverflow.com/a/36269616

'\u0000'
is the direct equivalent to Java's
'\0'
. It's actually not equivalent to Java's
'\u0000'
because in Java it's taken as part of the source code itself, whereas in Kotlin it's a literal.
