Hi folks, what’s the plan for publishing the artifacts produced by app modules (or any custom artifacts in general), especially uber jars created by Ktor, Spring Boot apps, and native CLIs? It might not be recommended for Maven Central, but for internal repos, it’s quite common.

No particular plans for now, at least none discussed with the team. We intend to support some more packaging types in the future for applications, and this will likely come with a way to distribute to different types of targets.

So for arbitrary formats and targets, at the moment you should most likely use a local plugin

Regarding Maven specifically, I don't know how suitable that is for application, but we'll keep the input in mind for future design.

Thanks, my use case is simple.. want to publish the executable jar or linkRelease binaries along with the library jars/klibs. Right now, there’s no way to do that for a CLI app (executable jar) migrated to the Kotlin toolchain, as we currently distribute the executable jar via internal Artifactory.
