Does anyone know if Kotlin code that gets bundled into the iOS app is obfuscated or does it not matter because the eventual IPA file submitted to the App Store will be obfuscated.

Yes, it is. It must be build in release mode

It's native obfuscation, just like objc release build.

It gets compiled to binary, it's not bundled as if it's scripted code or executed at runtime

A bit of an amateurish questions but does being a binary mean my KMP code is safe from the iOS perpective or would you recommend additional steps?
