Why can't we have new exception handling by default in 2.5.0 for wasmJs? Isn't it supported in all major browsers now?

The problem with that is it will increase the minimum browser versions (+5 months).

Is it just out of curiosity, or is there something else?

For me it is just for making warning in browser console dissapeared.

The original question was about the default, but just in case, it could be switched with `-Xwasm-use-new-exception-proposal` compiler option.
