🚀 kotlin-lib-mcp 0.7.0 — give your AI agent the real sources of any Maven-published Kotlin/Java library kotlin-lib-mcp is an MCP server. It downloads a library's sources jar and analyzes it with the Kotlin Analysis API (K2), so the agent gets resolved signatures, KDoc and source for the exact version you depend on, KMP targets included. Works with Claude Code, IntelliJ IDEA / Android Studio (AI Assistant, Junie), VS Code / Copilot and Claude Desktop. New in 0.7.0: • Signatures are rendered as written: parameter defaults and visibility are kept, so an optional parameter no longer looks required • The Docker image starts ~3.5× faster (JDK 25 AOT cache), and the stdio process exits cleanly when the client disconnects • Tool arguments are validated: a misspelt name or a wrong type is now an error instead of a silent fallback to the default • The library index resource is a bounded summary, with a new per-package API resource for details • CI runs the official MCP conformance suite Try it: • Claude Code:
/plugin marketplace add aoreshkov/kotlin-lib-mcp
, then
/plugin install kotlin-lib@kotlin-lib-mcp
• Any MCP client:
docker run -i --rm -v kotlin-lib-mcp-cache:/home/mcp/.cache <http://ghcr.io/aoreshkov/kotlin-lib-mcp:0.7|ghcr.io/aoreshkov/kotlin-lib-mcp:0.7>
Upgrading: libraries cached by an earlier version need one
fetch_library
each. It re-analyzes the sources already on disk without downloading them again. Changelog: https://github.com/aoreshkov/kotlin-lib-mcp/blob/main/CHANGELOG.md Repo: https://github.com/aoreshkov/kotlin-lib-mcp
