is Visual Studio Code recommended to be used with Kotlin? I had better experience with IntelliJ IDEA so far using Kotlin

of course IntelliJ is a perfect match, since it’s developed by JetBrains, but if you find the right plugins I suppose VS Code can be used pleasantly — although with less editing features

that Ubuntu box is a bit outdated, VS code seemed more lightweight
