Well, not always. Cz is also an accepted variant. It's even in the dictionary. All three of Ts, Tz, Cz can be used.

My name is tribute to my character and the fact that we had 6 Alexanders in our friends circle, so we decided to call each other by nicknames, for those (like me) who didn't have a nickname at the time it was decided that others will come up with one. So one of my friends called me Czar, because of the beard and my entitled royalty behaviour 😄 It stuck so much that I'm only called by my first name at home, even at work half the people call me by my nickname.
