Did anyone ever think the virtual touch bar was a good idea? Ever? Even in the auditorium when it was unveiled?

The only thing it might be good for I guess is for some games, when for some hardly used actions you could use an icon instead of F3 or something. But event then it’s not hard to learn the key binding, and you lose the feedback.

As a gamer, I can tell you it's equally useless. If I have to look where my finger needs to land to perform an action, I'll never use it.

Nah, just Apple more interested in adding features that look new rather than useful

And It was probably only tested by people that never use the F-keys. I was "ranting" about it a while ago and people said "I don't really mind, I've never use that row of keys"

@cedric as much as people thought Steve was a SIA, he in fact tested his ideas, and challenged them, his company is now a lumbering cyclops that is turning out stinker after stinker, Schiller said the uproar after the Mac event a year ago Nov caught him completely by surprise. My favorite thing from I/O was the prospect of a chromebook that will run IJ. (edited)
