Is the ASF planning to take over development of the plugin?

Interesting to see that the Python NB plugin hasn't been maintained since 2015. What does that say about NB's support for languages that aren't in the officially supported list?

If the ASF want to improve NB's poor programming language support then officially supporting K (taking over the development of the plugin) would be a good step forward.
