Hi everyone! Don't know if this is the right place to ask, but do any of you have any experience with writing iOS app in Kotlin, particularly with Jetpack Compose?
r
There's no iOS support for Compose (yet?). It's android and desktop only.

Oh, too bad 😞 Thanks for the answer)) And are there perhaps any plans for iOS support in the future?

I've seen it mentioned here and there, but there's nothing firm at the moment that I know of.
Might be worth asking the compose channel for a more up to date anwser.

Oops, I just discovered that the
Add channels
button isn't only for creating new channels, but browsing existing ones as well 😅 I only saw couple of channels in the sidebar, so I thought that was all of them... Thanks! :))

Currently, they are officially working on #CJLTWPH7S and #C01D6HTPATV, there are unofficial tests to see if #C01F2HV7868 could become a thing (just experiments at the moment), so assuming those tests work well, iOS will be the last one missing so it's likely they'll work on it at some point But since they definitely haven't started, we're at the very least a year away from any release

Every Multiplattorm desktop thing I saw so far uses SwiftUI, I don't know anything about it, but maybe it's good enough that not having compose isn't too frustrating?

I heard a lot of good things about Swift as well, but haven't worked with it yet. I was curious about Compose because we just started using it at work and I really liked it. But Swift is definitely on my TODO list of stuff I wanna try/learn.
