that's a very apt comparison in this case seeing as all of the core libraries for iOS are written in Objective C and have no sign of going away any time soon

Sorry was at work didn't see this response... I was actually referring to the fact that the Interoperability between swift and objective c is one sided. Objective C can be translated to swift but swift can't be completely translated to objective c... Not saying get rid of the old code. But I'm sure any new libraries will be in swift.
