It still does not seem to be funny, useful or interesting.

I actually hear Java developers using some of these arguments, so I look forward to reading the counter-arguments post that’s promised 😄

@Vladimir Petrakovich i sort of agree, but i was about to write a rant about some of these points before i got to the end
i guess that’s the reaction he’s going for

I guess you did discover who read to the end or not 😂
@Pere Casafont but on a serious note, I think it might have made sense to either release the 2 posts at the same time or find a way to incorporate them into one because it’s quite easy for people to not read to the end, especially if it’s an 8 min read

@jk thanks for your concern, but it is my first article ever and it's been exhausting. The flame will give me energies to write the next one 😎

don’t worry about the flamers 😄 I’ll look forward to your follow-up article to pass on to ill-informed Java devs!

They are not ill-informed. They are comfortable in their niche.

I have encountered some Java devs that use some of the arguments in the blog post

@Pere Casafont Congrats on your first article! Not sure how to ensure people don't stop part way through. A pro-Java dev is likely to stop part way through just because they'll think they're justified in their opinions on Kotlin. And some Kotlin developers will stop part way through because they'll just see it as another biased, uninformed opinion piece, and write it off. What do people think of adding a TL;DR at the top of 'I love Kotlin'. as a hint that the rest is setting up strawmen that will later be knocked down?
Maybe the second article should be "The advantages of Java over Kotlin: The Rebuttal". List all the points out again, BUT right after it, put the rebuttal. Once you have the second article written, put a link at the top of the first telling people to read the second article, so people see, and read, the 'real' article.

@Mike Thank you Mike! I will surely do that once I have the missing piece. For now I like keeping it the way it is because thanks to that it has more chances to cause (negative? 😜) impact. The feedback I am getting is motivating me a lot, maybe I'll get it done before this weekend! Thank you again
