i agree with this, when hiring on the high end of the scale, the ranges are 100% negotiable
due to these rules, now you have to post $100 - $1000 in which case devs who are currently getting $120 will gun for $500 simply because of the high upper range
Existing employees will then ask why their pay is so low compared to the high range posted on the job board.
No companies in South Africa have open wage policies since this is usually highly negotiable based on performance and other factors.
