Okay, I give up 😞 @elect you’re absolutely right. OpenGL, GLFW and all these things are not going to work without digging enough theory… I wonder why SDL2 just worked for me? It’s hiding a lot of complexity with a nice API (probably at the cost of performance?). I’d like to have similar library for Java, but looks like it’s either LWJGL3, or full game engine like libgdx, jmonkey or something. I wonder if part of libgdx can be extracted to do this (might ask @badlogic, but unlikely he has time for it)… But for now I’ll focus on native part with SDL2 (got it running on iOS simulator today). May be someone can chime in an help me when I opensource it 🙂
All I could do with LWJGL3 is open a window and use 100% CPU and then a crash. Couldn’t even put a picture on screen!
