GRRRR. I walked my dogs and came up with the answer - my input.txt was corrupted! Redownloading and running again worked fine. No idea how that happened.

My input also got corrupted. IntelliJ removed trailing spaces and I used the first line to see how wide the grid was to see if a portal was going up or down

I looked through local history and I think mine was me just deleting a few lines by accident.
