Nope. Then again... I use chipmunk. Did you see if the issue went away in chipmunk beta 1 released yesterday

I'll have to try. I did however now did a complete clean install of Android Studio, and this issue has yet to happen today. So it could very well have been some kind of corrupted upgrade path between releases

aaaand now it happened on Chipmunk, completely fresh install

what machine do you have? i haven't had my IDE hang completely in years. Slow sure... but not hang completely.
