Hello, I have troubles with my network connection and Android Studio. When I am using my phone's internet connection, I am able to fetch data from servers and check for IDE updates. However, when I connect to my home's internet, I cannot fetch data, check for updates etc. Does anyone know how I can overcome this problem and what could be the reason for that?

Are you hooked up to any sort of proxy or something? Can you download the IDE directly from d.android.com when on your homes internet?
k

this could be a firewall installed on your network
k
i have no access to firewall settings, is there anyway for me to run diagnostics for this issue and check for the solutions?

Check if you can access the network rules set on router or additionally any hardware firewall is installed by your network administrator, here is an example of firewall issue I face when I try to sync project or fetch the updates for AS,

I am not getting any warning like this. I have a firewall setup for the router but i dont want to disable it for the security reasons. Is there any workaround? (Important to note: I just rebooted the laptop (M1 Mac) with factory reset and downloaded Android studio from scratch. Cannot download SDK, cannot check for updates, no successfull gradle build etc).
