Here's my answer given the information I've read so far: Yes, Ktor supports native applications. You can use the CIO engine to run your Ktor backend on Linux and execute SQL queries on MySQL/MariaDB using SQLDelight. If you have existing SQL queries that you need to execute, you can use the Hilt library to create a Ktor client and execute the queries directly.
