What's happening with all the Jetbrains employees leaving Fleet channel ?
z
We're no longer working on KMP support for Fleet, as announced in February: https://blog.jetbrains.com/kotlin/2025/02/kotlin-multiplatform-tooling-shifting-gears/

Thanks for the update

That’s sad. I have enjoyed working with fleet. Also because it was the first (only?) IDE where I was able to debug iOS as well. What is recommended for KMP development now, Android Studio and / or IntelliJ?
z
Yes, you can use Studio or IDEA, whichever one you prefer. We'll be releasing new KMP tooling for both of them soon.
For iOS debugging, was your use case about debugging an iOS app that uses Kotlin Multiplatform, and debugging both Kotlin and Swift code?
t
Yes, exactly. I am developing iOS, Android and Desktop and would like to have one IDE where I can debug “everything”, Kotlin and Swift.

Will there be a Kotlin Multiplatform plugin for IntelliJ? Currently I only find one for Android Studio.
z
That's right for the current state, there's only the "old" Android Studio plugin at the moment. There will be a new version of the plugin for both IDEs soon™️

Good to hear! I'm in the same situation as @Tobias, trying to use a common environment for desktop/android/ios if I can. +1 🙂
