Are votes of youtrack-tickets that are tagged as duplicates added to the ticket that is kept?

That's a feature I miss in every issue tracker. :cry:

It is probably not so simple to implement though, because you'd have to get rid of duplicate votes (from the people who voted for both, the duplicate and the kept ticket).

Sure, but that’s not that hard to implement. Otherwise, voting becomes a bit pointless if less voted duplicates are kept. So how does YT work in such a situation?
